wedding nails

Hi everyone

I am looking into getting my nails done for the wedding and i have fallen in love with "Lace nails"

I think they are gorgeous and very different. I just wondered if anyone has had their nails done like this before and how much it cost to have them done like this?

Many thanks

Wow!! Never seen anything like that before. How do they do them? I think I'd be terrified if catching them on something...I'm usually a disaster waiting to happen! Have you got any pics of what they look like on somebody?

I havent. Seen them on google images looking for nail designs. I think they are gorgeous and would love them for myself. Definately would give off a wow factor!

I have short stumpy fingers and hands that are 20 years older than yours so I hate the idea of drawing attention to mine! But they really would be a big wow...you'd better make sure your photographer gets a good pic of them if you get them...where can you get them done?

They're the sort of thing that are normally done for photographic work such as these... http://www.alllacqueredup.com/2010/10/katy-perrys-avantgarde-lace-nails.html ... which were done by a session tech for a shoot with Katy Perry.

Its not something I've ever done on a person & I've been working as a nail tech for over 8 years now. I've had a play with working on some tips but never quite mastered it! And I can't imagine it'd be that practical really. The number of people you find catching or knocking off 3D nail art (like the bows & pearls in the pictures) is quite high!

I'd probably say is the more practical version is this... http://www.salongeek.com/nail-art-tutorials/57048-lace-airbrush-design.html ... which is a design which is airbrushed onto the nail, meaning there's nothing you could catch or knock off.

If I can help anymore just drop me message!

The best way to have them done, would be to have a set of nails extensions done (look for a salon that uses a reputable brand such as CND - Creative, ezFlow or OPI) and then find a salon that does airbrushing. 'Chinese' salons often do airbrushing but I wouldn't recommend them for your extensions. I'm not sure on prices as we only do hand-done nail art in our salon but I shouldn't image it'd be that much!
