Property income tax guide recommendations?

Hi all,

My wife and I have recently purchased a property that we intend to rent out. We are hoping someone can point us in the direction of a good guide to property income tax, either a book or website.

Have a look at the tax forum on here and also the property/housing forums where you'll find loads of threads about property tax. There are also many other online forums dealing with property ownership and lettings etc.

There are many text books re tax, such as Tolleys, Tottels, CCH, etc., but they are aimed more at accountants and tax advisers and are hard going for taxpayers. Don't forget the HMRC website, https://www.hmrc.gov.uk which has various factsheets manuals, etc.

As an accountant, I use and recommend the taxcafe property book which is aimed solely at property owners and is called "How to Avoid Property Tax"

The book you recommended is the one I was looking at on Amazon.
So it looks like I'll go ahead and buy it.
