Worked only 6 months of the year - was I being taxed as if I worked the whole year?

I have been working for a company for the pat 6months but have not received any payslips or proof of deduction of tax or national insurance - all payments have been paid direct to my bank acount weekly am i right to assume all deductions have been made and i am entilted to a tax rebate as this has been my only employments this year. I havent recived any benefit prior to starting this job. please can someone advise as the tax years is approching and dont want to miss out on anything i am entitled too.

Ask for your payslips - you are entitled to them. Some companies only supply online payslips so check and see if that's where they are.

I wouldn't assume anything. I would want to see exactly what deductions are being made.

Maybe and maybe not. No-one can tell without knowing how much you have been paid and how much tax has been deducted and what tax code has been used.

You need the payslips.
