DMP Help

I have recently looked at taking out a DMP with Payplan, i have given them all the details and was about to go-ahead when i realized i couldnt include one of the creditors from my list of 8.
I explained this to payplan and they informed me i couldnt drop them from the list, i have spoken to this creditor and they have agreed a reduced amount but not what the otheres would be happy knowing. Payplan have sent through all the letters for me to carry on myself included still is the creditor.

My question is do i contact another DMP company and not inform them of this creditor or send out the offers leaving on this creditor(as the figure shown would not be entirely correct) or drop them from my list and regig the offered amount to suit the otheres and then send out? Do the creditors check with each other and/or check on my file? How is the percentage of payments worked out on my surplus? All advice is much appreciated.

Why can't you include one of your creditors?

Because i had overlooked that this debt is in joint names with my wife and her job could be in jeopardy if she was to go down this route, which obviously would leave us in a worse position. Thanks

Personally, I would go down the self managed DMP route. This is what I did beacuse, for various reasons, I didn't want to include all creditors. I have had no problems, and have no reason to think that creditors are in touch with each other

the reason payplan (and others) can't help is that they pledge to treat all creditors fairly. That means working out whats left at the end of the week/month and distributing your surplus income fairly between the creditors.

You could do your own DMP and many here have been successful.

I had a DMP until last year, and only included 3 of my 5 creditors. I still hold accounts with the 2 creditors not included.
Here to offer help and advice, and maybe take a little in return.

If its on any kind of reduced payment, it will effect your partner anyway
