hi there, i have been hurt at work, and currently signed off by Dr for 3 weeks, it will probably be longer.. i am on a dmp with cccs and they have been really helpful,my mortage is up to date, debts just lots of loans and credit cards.
my inury occured as a result of my job, more physcological than physical, but does anyone know? is my employer obliged to pay me anything while i am off. i have things to pay that cannot be put off.. I E mortage & council tax.

Are you employed by the NHS possibly? We have something similar going on at work with a member of our team. Due to something that happened at work, they are off sick and due to drop in pay they are seeking to have their pay increased back up to 85% of their wages, but it does require backing from management and HR dept - it might take some time to sort out.

But if you're not in the NHS you could do a search - its called temporary injury allowance.

sorry,i may have misunderstood but with NHS as long as you are signed off sick by your doctor you get full pay for 6 months then half pay for 6 months(you may get benefits once you dropped to half pay)
