Car finance charges HELP!!!

Hi All
I have had car finance with GMAC since 2006 over this time i have occurred various charges from late payment to £15 charges for each letter received.
Over time this amount has built up substantially. I am yet to pay this fee.
As I am now coming towards the end of my agreement was wondering if there is anything i can do to try and reduce these charges or cancel them altogether. I was going to send them a letter asking them to justify the charges a using the bank charges template but heard that they’re not governed by the same financial body so may not be valid.
Is there any templates for this or anyone can offer me some advice?

Can I just say i havent recieved the letters as they were not sent by recorded delivery. surely they cant charge me for something they cant prove they sent????0 -
