Reusing old silk - any ideas?

I have a couple of old silk shirts that are beyond wearing. Seems to me I heard about silk being really good for... something? The back of my brain is niggling, but I haven't been able to pull anything out of it yet.
Anyone have any ideas?

You could, if you sew, make them into camisoles maybe? Or make boudoir cushions out of them for your bedroom.

I have some silk too and am using it to line a rabbit fur throw I`m making.
If you`re really good at sewing two shirts would be enough to make a wee jammies set, cami and shorts.
If you make a silk pillowcase, it`s good for your hair, the silk `polishes` the hair shaft as you sleep on it too."Ignore the eejits...it saves your blood pressure and drives `em nuts!"
