hi i am new to this forum and in need of some advice....
In 2009 my partner was made redundant and then in 2010 he was diagnoised with a brain tumor which he had to undergo 6 weeks of raidotherepy. As for two years we lived off his redununcy and my wages we have now got to the point where we are maxed out on our cc and have 2 loans.we have been able to keep our heads just above water and were going to go down the dmp route as we knew if our circumstances didn't change this would go totally out of control. My partners dad went into a coma in dec and sadly died at the end of jan and we spent all our cash on petrol to london to visit him. In 10 months time we will be getting an inheritence of about 50k which will sort us out but what do we do in the mean time?
We have now this month occured late charges etc and none of our creditors /bank our willing to help us. We got so desperate we applied for a secured loan but were turned down due to lack of income.
My question is i don't want to go down the dmp route but if i avoid it. If i use the templated letters explaing our situation how will it effect our futuer credit rating?
my partner is working now full time and so am i but our wages do not cover our debt as they are quite lowly paid. We are both activly seeking better employment. I hope someone can advice me.....

Post your SOA for people to see. There may be some scope to cut some expenses. If you are both working full time there should be scope to assess living costs a bit and see what is there for debt payments or what else can be done.
You may find you have enough to live if money is jiggled around to keep you going until the inheritance payment comes in. The posters on here are brilliant for spotting a few pounds here and there and it does mount up.
Also have you tried the old style moneysaving board to help cut grocery spending? Most people have scope for a few pounds from that.0 -
Post yout SOA & people will happily help you.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0
