Cleaning cloth logistical management plan

Just thought I'd let you know a thing I do with cleaning cloths.
Either with old clothing, or cheap pound shop cloths (not the string kind as they fall apart), cut them into smallish pieces. About 6 out of one cloth.
Then if I get a small spot I have to wipe up, I use a small patch then sling it in the washing machine.
I also just chuck bigger cloths in the wash...probably saves energy and keeps it all hygienic. However, using the small pieces saves space in the washer and cloths.

Do you wash ecloth and floor mop with clothes or do you save up and do a batch wash for cleaning cloths?Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

Oooo, be careful.... something that small could end up down your washing machine drain pipe and need a plumber to retrieve it.... not very MS at all!0

TBH i'm not that worried about how much space my 4-6inch normal squares are taking up to be bothered to cut them down!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

when my teatowels get too thin to use, I cut them in half and zigzag the cut edge. then I use them for draining food and drying it etc instead of paper towels. I keep them in a heap on the utility room floor until I'm putting on a very hot wash anyway. If I wash them hot then even oil comes out where I've drained chips. I've got so many I never run out and they are more versatile than paper towel eg I strain the old cooking oil through one which keeps it good to use againIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

I use my old cloth nappy squares as general wipe up and cleaning cloths. Or old worn towels, cut down to a similar size and roughly hemmed. They was a treat. I've had these nappies for 16 years now...I was given them for my first baby. I think they were used on his bum once but they were great all purpose wipe up cloths for the kids.Val.0

I visit Charity shops and ask them for any towels that can't be resold. I usually donate £5 for a black bag full.
Some of them are like new and get used in the bathroom at home
The rest are cut up used for the cleaning business.:D0 -

I boil up old tea towels and then cut into squares and use them when I'm making marmalade & preserves to tie up the spices or peel & pips. Haven't bought any muslin squares for ages. Ikea muslin curtains serve same useful purpose!2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

You could put them all in a washing net before putting them in the washer.
I always wash wired bras in a large net as one came out once and wedged between the drum and the casing. It sounded like I was spinning a bag of nails. It cost a bomb to fix too, almost wrote the machine off.0
