Who is the unluckiest (and luckiest) comper?

I feel pretty unlucky at the moment as I have only won 3 things this year so far and I enter about 50 competitions a day.

So using my simple equation:

We are in the 70th day of the year
Multiply that by average comps entered each day (50 for me)
Divide by prizes won (3)
Gives you your win ratio!

Mine is approx 1 win in 1162 competitions. Thats probably pretty near the bottom lol :rotfl:
March prizes: 6 x Crufts tickets, tickets to Wham live! Heck naked sausages, DVD :D:D:D

  • :( I have only won 3 things since I started comping in November and they are all really small (see my sig) and the 442 subcription is going straight to my boyfriend.

I am even more unlucky than you! ;)

oooh, you'll have to start entering more if you can
judging by the post wins posts at the end of the month majority of peeps enter between 100-200 a day :)

lots of good luck to you keep entering them xxx

according to that my win ratio is:

70days x 150 (average) comps a day divided by number of wins this year 48

So thats 1 win in every 218 comps entered.

    That dosen't seem too bad
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!
  • That's really good treacle! (Now am even more depressed lol)

  • The amount I enter really varies with how much spare time I have and what prizes appeal to me.

I onluy enter comps where I want the prize, I know someone who would or that I could sell on eBay. I don't see the point otherwise or I will just end up with a house full of stuff I don't want and every entry brings that chances of someone who actually wants the prize down so it seems a bit unfair to go for stuff I don't want for the sake of it. Perhaps I would win more if I was less selective but I wouldn't be any better of as I'd have more stuff I don't have a use for!

  • Hmmm I enter an average (i'd guess) of 20/day, 5 days/week and have been doing it since mid December 2010. Soooo...

Lets say I've been actively comping for 58 days

58x20=1160 comps entered and I've had one win, my approx ratio is 1 in 1160 comps entered.

That said, I only enter for shiny expensive things, age/gender appropriate things, holidays, things I need, and things I want, so most of the comps I enter probably have 10s of thousands of entrants. That being the case, I conside myself quite lucky so far with my netbook win :D

Doesn't mean I wouldn't like another win soon though, I've been dry through February and March so far, so I'm just hoping luck is lining something big up for me!
January: Jolibook netbook. :DFebruary: Nothing :(March: May fortune smile upon me! Thanks to all the Comp posters & good luck everyone

I am always "unlucky" at the beginning of the year...then the end of the year usually makes up for it. lol

I have won hardly anything yet this year. :)

I enter probably about 125 a day, and won 21 prizes so far so thats 1 in every 417. January was good for value not quanity but February and March have been particulary rubbish for both!
    2009 Wins = £833
    2010 Wins = £6,597
    2011 Wins = £7,083

    £2,012 in 2012 = £450/£2,012
    20 in 2012 = 4/20
