Nets or not?

Hi
I am putting the finishing touches to mine and DS bedrooms, we both have curtains and was after some advice, do windows look better with or without nets? I was going to put up venetian blinds but the windows are a stupid width so would cost me £20 per window wheras the nets will be about £10 for both windows inc p&p

I never use nets...but thats a personal thing...since childhood have always associated them with old ladies..not really sure why
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

No nets for me either, went without for a while then put up wooden venetian blinds.

Maybe you need to consider why you need nets or blinds.

I have a net curtain on my landing window. Being north facing the net curtain doesn't cut out as much light as a blind would and also allows me to walk to the bathroom 'au naturale' without fear of the neighbours seeing too much:rotfl:

I quite like the vertical blinds but unfortunately I also like to have plants on my window sills

Firstly i think the window looks bare and theyre is a road running along the back of my house so people can see in.
I have a venetian blind in my kitchen and have 2 vases with (fake) pink lilys in it, the blind is fitted outside the window resess(sp?)
