a local website/ facebook page is advertising a link to a site that offers a free loan to anyone over 16, that you dont have to pay back and only costs you £20. i cant post website links as a new member, but it is investments. moonfruit.
please let me know what you think or if you have used it! i have contacted the local website to say i think its possibly a pyramid sheme, and a 16year old cant get a loan in the uk but they deleted my comments and told me i was being slanderous.

Moonfruit.com is a freebie hosting site. Looks like a blatant scam to me.

That's because they don't want comments exposing the scam.
  • i have just recieved this in my inbox, in response to my message pointing out that 16year olds cant take out loans, there is no company name on the site and that it seems to a pyramid scheme :-

We value everyones opinion highly and have taken on-board your points of interest.
However, we do vet all of our clients prior to allowing them to advertise through Corbycc.
We too was also sceptical when we was approached by our client.
We have vetted them to be of sound business accumen, and we will endevour now to explain how our client acts in a lawful manour.
    1. The Clients trading name is located on the top left of the webste.
    2. Under the clients terms of contract, (quote) "..the word 'loan' refers to 'gifting' (giving away the agreed sum for free) and shall not be deemed/interpreted nor accepted in terms of us 'loaning' you the agreed sum.
    3. Each time a customer uses the services of our client, then they shall have to pay the administration costs of twenty pounds sterling.
    4. Our client has assured us that they are a MLM (multi-level-marketing) company and are in no way, shape or form a pyramid for their following reasons:
4.1. Pyramids are 7+ levels deep.
4.2. The initial investor (the customer) can come in (invest) as many times as they deem necessary, which will also contribute as an additional 'new' investor.
4.3. The up front fee works in the same principal as any non associated third-party loan companies whom take a fee upfront to process a loan.

We hope that this information has been of relevance to you and woud like to thank you again for taking an active interest within Corbycc.

    Many thanks
    Corbycc.
