Good quality sunglasses

We're moving to a very hot and very sunny country and so are looking at buying good quality sunglasses for both my husband and myself. Anyone know where the best place for this would be? I'm a bit wary of online as ideally I'd like to try them on first!
We're thinking of ones like Oakleys etc. that have the really good UV protection and keep the light well out.
Any ideas?

Maybe in the "very hot and very sunny country"? Unless maybe it is third world and the locals don't wear/can't afford sunspecs so there is no market for them. I've had Raybans, Dunhill, Persol etc but the best pair ever was from a local optician chain in the country where I was. They were their own brand - reasonably priced & classically-styled - and I still wear them now. More importantly, they are excellent in the very bright sunlight you get in some places.

Go to Vision Express in the Arndale Centre and try some on. They haven't got much of a range but they're local to you.

I can't find any discount codes/vouchers for sunglasses.

Zavvi have Oakley Speechless sunglasses on offer for £30 including delivery but they're only available in white and you'd have to buy online.

Don't just consider UV protection either. Get polarised glasses as MOST of the damage done by the sun is blocked by polarising, but NOT the standard UV protection. My wife is South African, and having been there numerous times I have been advised by family/friends that polarised is the only way to go. Sunglassesforsport are a great online option, and you can get polarised glasses through them for £20-30, so maybe you can check for one you like and then try find a local store to try them on? They have the aforementioned 'named' brands, and I've bought through them before so can recommend the service levels.
