Telling the difference between PP scams

Hey all,
I was wondering how you can tell the difference between a reputable party plan company & a scam?
I have found a new company that I have contacted, But I’m unsure if its to good to be true, Or if I’m letting my past experience on PP affect they way I’m seeing this company!
So what tell tell signs can I look out for.
Many thanks,
Princessx87

if the company has a web site then entering the web address here
http://whois.domaintools.com/
will tell you when it was registered ( and where ) if the owners are using a proxy to hide the ownership ( will say so) or its registered somewhere else than the UK , and also how long the doamins been registered ( if its only a month so then its got no track record)Ex forum ambassador

Warning signs I always look for are:
claims of massive profits for very little work (if something's sound too good to be true it generally is!)
very vague on what the actual work involves
money required upfront
dodgy looking website/personal (ie hotmail/gmail) addresses or no official postal address (ie only PO Box)0
