Hi, I've recently been contacted by a company who have told me Mackenzie Hall passed on my details, I was dealing with MH last year (2010) about a debt with quickquid, I sent MH a cca request, and asked for proof of the debt, MH sent me an email saying I owed £462, Nothing from quickquid, I then asked for original documents to be posted to my house proving the sum they said, This never happened and I haven't heard from MH since.
Untill now, This company have phoned saying Mackenzie Hall are pursuing an IVA against me, which will result in court costs etc, I dont even know the companies name, I was also told an agent will visit my house within 24 hours, bringing with him all documents.
I have tried to contact them - but its just an answerphone. so what do i do, do I sit tight and wait for this agent, or do I contact Mackenzie hall again??
Because they couldn't provide me with 'original documents', doesn't that mean this account will be in dispute and can't be passed on??
This other company seem to think not.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
(sorry this is so long!!)

As a follow on from my last thread, I can confirm now the company in question is JBDM, I have had 5 phonecalls in the last few hours, all of which were put down when I answered. I then phoned them back, and asked for them to write to me with all information, I was told as they are a debt collectors they don't write to people - only do business over the phone, I was also told 'disputed accounts' don't exist, also when I asked them not to call I was told they can call me whenever they like.
How do I report these people to the oft??0 -
I'm afraid I can't help, however someone else will be able to. This post will put your thread back on the first page again.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Which 'company' have phoned you? This wouldn't 'happen' to be Meritforce, would it?
Ignore what was said in the call - you sent MH a CCA request which they haven't honoured. If you've retained proof that they got it, then they'd look pretty stupid in trying to push it through court.
Besides, the only time MH will attend court will be as defendants.0
