Mortgage Advice Please

Hello

I'm currently looking at houses with a view to buying if the right one comes up (I'm slightly fussy)

However I started a new job 4 months ago and am on a one year probation period?

Would this affect my chances of a mortgage (First time buyer - 10% deposit, N.Ireland)

Thanks in advance

I think you'll need to wait for your probationary year to end. Go to see a mortgage adviser before viewing any more houses

Unless the bank asks for that information as part of its lending requirements, I see no reason why you should volunteer it.

How does a mortgage adviser normally charge - is it up front or added to the mortgage

Don't really want to be incurring fees at this stage.

I feel a year is a long probationary period, although probation are standard in my industry - they are normally only 6 months.
