Pregnancy skin woes....

Options
Hey :o

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and my skin has gone really really dry! Not on my face, but on my arms and chest

I've tried exfoliating, using my normal body moisturisers, and even the oil i'm using for my expanding tummy, but they still feel scaly!

Does anyone know of a good moisturiser (not E45, I really don't like it) maybe Norwegian Formula or something similar? I don't have sensitive skin and can use almost about anything.

I loved my Clarins one, but with bubbs coming along, we have to tighten our belts a little!

Thanks guys! xx

I swear by he body shop body butters (advocado being the best). It does sit on the skin for a while but feels lovely and luxuries and works a treat on dry skin
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

I know it sounds odd but perhaps your skin's working overtime and shedding more than normal, perhaps you need a good few exfoliates and then slather on the goodies. I use an authentic Japanese Salux washcloth which is just the most brilliant thing I've ever bought, it scrubs away the dead skin so easily and leaves it soft as a baby's bum, even on ankles, elbows, feet. I then slather on Dermalogica body cream and my skin feels like it did 20 years ago. You can get the salux cloths from ebay or the US if you know anyone that's visiting there and can bring you one back

Aveeno is the best - and I have tried everything - you can get it from Tesco. It's the Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion that is the best : http://www.aveeno.co.uk/products/skin-relief-range/12

Seriously try it it's amazing x

    Hi Turtle,

You could try lush dream cream. It's not very cheap but a little goes a long way

Next time your at the docs ask for Doublebase cream - ask for the big one in the pump, its superb!! Think E45 but 1000 times better, a cool gel, fantastically moisturising and non greasy.. can use it all over!

Fantastic stuff and wont cost you a bean!

I had bought that cream for my daughter in law when she was pregnant and we saw there is paraben in these creams, which is very bad for you. So I wouldn't recommend buying any Lush product. They are so expensive too!

i would also recommend Aveeno I have dry skin and find this brilliant

Cream has a light texture and sinks in quickly but is very moisturising
