Extra Money.. Maybe something like avon

Hi,

I am a university student, i am on placement and i'm going back to university soon. My wages aren't too much and i am worried about no being able to find a part time job when i got back.

I've been looking at companies like Avon and Body shop. I don't want to do the parties but brochures etc are fine.

Are these companies a good way to make a little extra cash as i have to start saving for a wedding.

Thanks in advance.

Avon will give you back what you put in. Most companies are the same. I do avon and enjoy it. The forum here has helped loads. Have a look through the hints and tips threads below. As long as you don't expect lots of money for no work, you'll be fine whatever you choose to try ;)
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
  • I am seriously thinking about avon but i just want to know what other companies there are about?

Plus do you get taxed on what you earn from avon?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Richiesgirl - there are lots and lots of these types of companies out there. Try googling 'home based jobs'.

You'll find that many of the companies like Body Shop, Partylite etc do prefer you to do parties as these tend to bring in the most sales. In fact I think Body Shop currently ask you to commit to hold six parties when you sign up.

You will need to register as self employed with HMRC, but you probably won't have to pay tax if your earnings are less than your personal allowance (it's around £7000 for most people).
