They were still 60p here yesterday,perhaps the deals are regional,hopefully they will be reduced to 30p up here too(they had quite a lot of fruit n veg packs at 30p during the week),good enough eggs for my needs,free range and with the rspca freedom food logo too,im happy with them.:)

For those in North Swindon, get them quick, before I clear out the shelves!

The farm ID can be traced back to a farm in Notts, which isn't all that near to Swindon. Not sure that Morrisons is trying to buy local. Also not sure if it's just the Notts farm eggs that are going cheap.

It's quite interesting because from my photo, you can see it doesn't look like a "marked down" price; it looks like the reduce price is planned. No mention though whether this is the permanent price or just a temporary offer.

On hindsight, it's also a good thing that I didn't originate the post; imagine with a title going "Free Range Medium eggs at 30p for four eggs, or 7.5p per egg!"

Seems like most people would have found them to be 60p in their Morrisons and I would have well, errr, gotten egg all over my face.

If the price of these eggs in your Morrisons is still 60p, take note of the BB date.

If it's before 01 Apr, it could be just the old price.

If it's on or after 01 Apr, then it could be farm specific or Morrisons specific.

Just trying to do a little bit of investigative work here to see if we can find some sort of pattern.

Definantly 30p for 4 in chesterfield morrisons today. Clearly marked on box. They were right at the bottem of the egg display so not at all easy to find, or advertised, Eggtrodinary!

These 4 pack Eggs have been 60p for a week or so now but will be 30p in ALL stores from tomorrow.ALL stores received stock of the 30p eggs on their last egg delivery this week but were specifically told that they should not display them till this monday with the new 30p price on them as doing this will reduce availability at the end of the week.All the 4 pack eggs will be 30p this week as the 60p ones will be reduced to 30p as well.

This promotion runs for 1 week only as part of the ongoing Fresh Food Price Crunch so as someone pointed out earlier in the thread the farmers wont be hit for too long hopefully.

Thanks to everyone for all the updates and reports!

It seems that different stores have different timings on releasing the 30p four-pack eggs.

In my local Morrisons at North Swindon, they were all sold out by today, having been around for about a week already. I grabbed the last box.

Wonder if we'd get new stock tomorrow.

The mystery is finally being resolved, I'm going to Morrison's today and hopefully get some.

EDIT: DEFINITELY ON OFFER TODAY - GOT SOME.
Swede for only 30p as well and I managed to get a decent sized one.

They've restocked the 30p eggs. Also got 4-pack conference pears from Holland at 30p, and 4-pack plums from Chile at 30p.

They appeared in my local Morrisons today.

The sign said "Offer ends 20 March"

But in my experience of these egg offers it really means "While Stocks Last". And they never last until until the end of the offer.

I got two boxes of these eggs last week, so eight eggs for £1.20. A box of six eggs costs more than that...our local Morrisons is pretty good at keeping offer items stocked for the duration of the offer, so I may get some more this weekend.

Just seen the advert on TV...the 30pence offer has finaly reached Scotland ...for 1 week only tho,but il be happy enough if they continue these boxes of 4 at 60p.long term.
