need help with old rules please

Hi all
I've PM'd Kellogs then read a few posts about her being bombarded with PM's so i apologise
My OH is on old rules and they have faffed his case about for ages, they have now found out he is working as she has phoned the csa and they have gone straight to Inland revenue then to his employer. My big question is when will they date it from as he has been there a while (i know, we should have told them).
I don't think i can cope with a couple of years worth of arrears as we may as well both quit work.
any help massively appreciated

When did the csa contact you?
That is when the reassesment should be from (in theory)0 -
I think reassessments are normally effective from when someone (be that the PWC or the NRP) requests one - so in your case, it should be from whenever the PWC asked them to reassess your OH. As CSA_Help says though, this is in theory!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

thank you both, all we got told tonight was the pwc called in and stated she 'thought' nrp was working!! what annoys me more is we've had a complaint for 15 months and its still not been looked at

Best thing to do with complaints is involve your MP - they seem to have a rocket under their behinds when you do!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

its just been a nightmare and the sooner we swap over to new rules the better as we'd be on the flat rate as he gets a war disablement pension. I know access and maintenance are a seperate issue but she lives 5 minutes away and we are lucky if we see her once a year0

Agree it's a seperate issue but it's amazing how many PWC's you come across with the following attitude.....
When money's involved "it's OUR child".
For everything else "it's MY child"0 -
You have to remember and I have taken this to Court, a War Pension is not treated the same as a civi one, you get hit fighting for these people and get hammered, you fall and break a leg at home then they can't touch it!!!!!
If you need help on this please PM me.0 -
its more frustrating that she has a new partner and has spend the past couple of years trying to get my step daughter to call her new partner dad!! i have no problem him supporting his kids but she can't have it both ways, it takes more than financial support to be a dad0

this is a difficult one because if the case was wrong in the first place because the information was not all forthcoming, ie work not declared then it can be backdated to the beginning. However, if it was a change in circumstances situation then it would be from the date that the request was made because there is no requirement for anybody to notify the CSA of changes to their circumstances as a general rule. PWCs have to declare children moving out or not being in FTE and NRPs only have to notify the CSA of a change in employer if they are paying via a DEO.0
