Help to find straps for my dress

Can anybody give me any advice about how i might be able to find some removable straps for my dress. I bought the dress second hand and it didn't have the straps with it. I think i would prefer to wear it with straps but haven't a clue where i might be able to get some from.
The dress is Eternity Bridal D2091 (sorry can't post link or picture)

This is their contact us page on their website...the dress is still listed on there so maybe if you contact them they could supply you with the straps

If you need alterations making from the hem, could the excess material be made into straps by the dressmaker at all?

I am also an eternity bride! Definitley try and contact Eternity directly. They have always been very helpful when I have had a query. My dress has exactly those straps (its the D2145) but unfortunately mine are fixed and not detachable. It may be they can sell you the straps directly though. Failing that a local dress maker should be able to make some for you, they are just tulle net with beading added.

I didn't get a response to either of the e-mails so i phoned them this afternoon. They can't supply the straps directly to me but i would have to order through a stockist. I bought my dress at an auction so didn't use brdal shop. does anybody know if i can just find a stockist and phone them to get them to order it for me, or would i have to take the dress and go in person?
I am slightly worried about getting a dressmaker to do them because i haven't seen the straps and would only be able to show pictures which don't show them close up. also would they be able to match the fastners with the ones already in place on the dress?
Yes i am just a little pre occupied with dress straps at the moment. Spending lots of time contemplating them - i THINK i want them.

Im sure its worth phoning a couple of stockist to find out, they will obviously stick a bit on the cost so they make a profit but it would be worth it. Call eternity again to find out exactly who stocks the dress style you have and go through them, if you have one close you could just pop in and check the fixings. Dont bother with the Bridal House in Aylesbury, bloody awful service.

A good dressmaker can do anything. I think most of us on here have been surprised about that (except maybe linda at no. 9 who is a dressmaker so knew this already!). I could get good close up pictures of my straps but its now at my dressmakers being alterered and I wont see it until 8th April. I do have some pics of me in the dress that you can zoom in a see most of the detail. If you PM me I can email through to you.

Ok, the stockist has got back to me after speaking to Eternity, they can get the straps at a cost of £40. thats a bit more than i expected - double the price of the first estimate from Eternity. Now that i have seen a close up of the straps (thanks aarchk) i want them even more. But can i justify paying £40 (thats £20 per arm!).
I don't think the lady doing the dress alterations could recreate them. A dressmaker might be able to but would they be any cheaper?
The question is at £40 do i still 'really' want them?
