Have quit smoking and am really broke - can I sell the cigs I've got left ?

I used to smoke and pick cigarettes up at airports why flying with my old job. Anyway, I've quit, for good I think and hope but I'm totally broke. I lost my job last year.
I never chucked the cigs away as I'd done that before and then started again and "lost" the money. I've quite a few 200 boxes and was hoping that some avid smoker would take them off my hands for a few pounds but I don't know where I could let people know they are available. I don't have the money to trawl around pubs etc.
I wouldn't normally bother but its the only thing of any value I've got left to sell or trade. I know it isn't the most pleasant request for help and advice but I'm pretty desperate.

If they were bought "duty paid" other than with uk duty, no you cannot legally sell them.
You can use them yourself or give them away as gifts with no consideration of any sort received.
What you do in the real world, and with your friends is totally up to you......====0
