noob wants to get into baking, advice/tips please

    Have read your post here and on the arms. DON'T BUY the baking mag lol. Poundshops for the bakeware all the time. On here or other places on the net for recipes.

    Oh and on here for advice :D

    I love baking, nothing better than shutting myself in the kitchen for an afternoon of baking...but, me and OH have done losing weight this past year so I don't bake so much now.

    Agree with earlier posters, try baking some Twinks to start with, I think someone has given you the link for the recipe.

    A favourite of mine is this lovely cake and doesn't need fancy food processors or mixers to make. Its lovely, can be eaten as a cake or a nice pudding with custard, can make it as a round cake or in a loaf tin.

    I prefer muffins to cupcakes, for one they are bigger :D and two they are more forgiving, if they grow too big it just looks like you are good at making big cakes, also they are easy and most dont need a lot of beating or whisking.

    Am sure a lot of people will be along to give you lots more recipes.
