Im needing some advice please. I dont know what to buy our mothers, i only want a small token gift to say thank you, as both sts of parents have given us money towards the wedding.
I have got dads special cufflinks, each with things they are interested in on, but really dont know what to get mothers?
I was thinking brooches but i dont yet know what they'l be wearing on day so didnt want to clash.
Has anyone got any other ideas of a keepsake kind of gift i can get them. Im very tight on funds but dont want to appear cheap, especially as they are paying towards our day.
Thanks in advance

I've worked at a few weddings and the tradition seems to be to present the mothers will a bouquet of flowers - it always seems to go down well. The groom does this during the speech and it usually results in some tears! A personal thank you card with all of the reasons you are grateful to them will then be the item they can keep and cherish.
I'm really struggling with the budget and I think this will be what we will do (although my OH was surprised when I said we needed to get them something).

How about a jewellery box? Something like THIS
One of the reviewers says that her Mum has used it to keep keepsakes of the day in.
You could maybe give them an IOU and give them a photo album of the day at a later date?First date 10.2.2002
Engaged 18.8.2010
Wedding 9.4.2012
Baby #1 due 26.2.2014 :j0 -
We've decided to go with bottles of champagne the the parents, and we'll follow it up with a framed picture from the day.
Our parents are giving us money for the wedding, but we're on a massively tight budget - it doesn't make any sense to then buy them gifts with their own money if you see what i mean?! I personally don't like the idea of the flowers, partly because i just don't really like flowers (not having a bouquet) and also we'd like to pass on the thank you in private, not make any speeches that happen into a present hand out.0 -

That's exactly what we have got for the mums. They are quite small but they are so pretty! I want one for myself
