I have now received an application form from FLM loans,it was sent to my old address and forwarded to me.I did not request this and they have endangered my credit file by sending this form with an account number to an address i don't live at,what action can i take,it's getting freaky.
There is no reason it should have any effect on your credit file unless they have conducted a search on you.
It may be worth having a look at your credit file but it is a fair assumption they are just having a wild stab hoping you will follow it up. You can't have an account number without dealing with them.0 -

David,
I strongly urge you to check your bank account and make sure you have no Direct Debits set up on there from any of the other company's within the Richmond Group Ltd.
Other cases on here regarding FLM Loans, have normal had fees paid to Loanfinder.
I would then also write the Richmond Group Ltd a strongly worded letter stating to them not to contact you ever again, as I said before with the phone calls, use the 1998 Data Protection Act in your letter and say that you are using section 10 & 11 to have your personal data both suppressed and put on a do not contact list, also state that if they fail with your requirement for the above that you shall report them to the FOS, ICO and consider legal action.0 -
Crazyguy, thanks for the advice,i tried to ring them yesterday with no success so i e-mailed them and quoted your words, within 5 minutes i got an e-mail and text back saying they have removed my details and i won't be charged a fee. What fee,i have never had any contact with this company or the Richmond group. My bank account is ok and i checked my credit report with Equifax which also looks ok.Thanks again. But i did receive a text today saying i could claim for my accident i had,£3,750.It was another company and i have not had an accident.Maybe it's best to change my number.David,

Dont change your number , text back claim and then ask for them to remove you !
I would keep checking the bank as if they have stated no fee will be taken then looks like they may have been in either the process of or have set up a dd on your account.0 -
How would they have my bank details as i say i have not asked them for anything and i have not given any detailsDont change your number , text back claim and then ask for them to remove you !

There was a person on here before and a couple of other instances where this company have set up direct debits and then say it is id theft, if I were you I would check my account daily for any new direct debits just to make sure as once you find one and it has been taken you may struggle to get your money back.
A couple of times on here the staff at the richmond group monitor this site and have intervened and given any money taken back quite quick, but there has been other cases where they have not been as forthcoming.
As for changing your number, why should you let these companys force you to change your details just do as I said in the previous post and in time the calls and texts will stop.0 -
I found the owner of the Richmond group on twitter and told him the way his company acts is disgusting.Thabks for all your help and i'll keep checking.0
