It is a high street bank and an investment bank. Everybody knows that. It wouldn't have been such a problem or have needed to be saved otherwise.
There has never been enough competition in banking and in case you hadn't noticed some of the competition disappeared recently.
The greatest risk to RBS has gone courtesy of the taxpayer. Although there will be some of the idiots, sorry 'great minds' and 'unique talent', left that created its woes in the first place, so I suppose your right in that respect.0 -
