In my ongoing attempt to tone up and lose weight, I would like a pair of MBT trainers, but can't afford them!
Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative?
Thanks!

MBT do what they do and I think other trainers offer similar benefits, but not the same benefits. It really depends on what you want from the shoe and why your wearing it.
Shapers do their own version, FitFlop do their own version, SportsDirect do their own version.
Personally I'd try them on first and make sure they fit well. I bought a pair of MBTs and they cut my feet to ribbons (literally, flaps of skin were hanging from my feet as the plastic forming the heel dug into me and as a direct result of me refusing to admit defeat due to the price tag!).
I am sure there are other brands out there but those are the ones I am aware of.0 -
"Trainers maketh not the person fitter." Imaginations 3 verse 6.
You could go barefoot and it would be beneficial to excercise. Granted some trainers are better for certain activities, but it's not the be all and end all. A decent cross trainer should only cost £30-40 and that would be good for running/walking/badminton etc, etc.
Those MBT things are ugly and ridiculously priced too:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0 -
I got a pair of Sketchers ones delivered yesterday, there is a thread on the Grabbit board cheap from Amazon, £30 or something like that
they were certainly doing something, cos my knees were sore :rotfl::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
TK Maxx were doing some, can't quite remember the brand - something like avive or similar. they retail around £200

I bought some of these http://www.therashoe.com/ on the recommendation of somebody here (purchased from Sports Direct), I think for £25.
They are so comfortable and I wish I had the opportunity to wear them more often!0
