Why have my defaults cleared early?

Hi, I'm not moaning or complaining in the slightest about this but does anybody if defaults can clear early? The last time I checked my credit report I had 5 defaults that taking the 6 year rule into account would clear between May 2012 and July 2013. However when I checked my credit report recently I only have 2 defaults showing. I've check the main three credit report sites and they all confirm this. Like I said I'm not complaining just wondering how/why?

Have you moved address? It may be that they Co's you have the defaults with haven't update info for your new address?

All my address is up to date on the sites and the accounts are still showing on there but not showing as defaults anymore.
