No card no job. from director all the way down.
There should be an authority set up to regulate this area of the industry, that would have wide ranging powers.
Companies should pay money to the authority for membership. With the mandate that all debt management debt collection companies have to be members to trade.
Set down rules as to what is expected of these companies and when they are breached the authority should have the power to shut the companies down.
The authority should carry insurance against instances where their members fail the consumer, so that these breaches in rules that leave the consumer out of pocket can be rectified and the consumer reimbursed
I don't think the two positions are mutually exclusive Mike. I'm all for better qualified professionals, and I'm all for much better regulation, (or at least some!), with enforceable sanctions and compensation for defrauded customers. But it would be nice to have both.0 -

Accordingly, please find attached Form 2.23B giving formal notice of the
result of the meeting of creditors which was held by correspondence on
11 May 2011.
This letter is a formality, the sole purpose of which is to advise
creditors of the outcome of the creditors meeting. No further action is

This is the file,I think it's a general thing sent to all of us who have registered a claim but my new PC don't like it.0 -
From a quick internet search, I think most people who don't use Microfsoft outlook via an exchange server would have problems with that.
There are suggestion in this as to how you might open it if there is actually anything in there to read?

It would be better for them to re-send the email with the document in a common format like word/pdf though.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

In 30+ years of computing I have received 3 winmail.dat attachments and I do not use Outlook. Not a good sign to receive one from a 'professional' organisation I feel maggie, as fermi says, pdf or word.0 -

I doubt they deliberately sent it as that, as there was a pdf file buried in that attachment.
I think they may have just made some mistake when sending via Outlook (or whatever) that resulted in the pdf going into that attachment rather than one people could read.
But yes, if everyone got it in that format then they really need to re-send to the whole list.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
