not sure this is anything other than their standard offers via the normal link??? Correct me if I'm wrong - would love to join via friends and family as my understanding is that it gives you 50% off your monthly costs. Unfortunately, I know no-one that works for Sky!0

Generally anyone who works for Sky would have a @BskyB.com email address - the @sky.com are normally customers - he could be both of course and using his home address.
Normally Sky will take a very dim view of friends and family offers being offered on an open forum tho. But to me that doesn't sound like a friends and family offer as nothing is half price and there's no free HD pack or anything - So it may be a customer offer like the one where you get £50 of M&S vouchers for signing up a friend, that tehy run for a while0
