i have started buying the odd thing when on BOGOF, to make hampers for members of the family .
I am running out of ideas though of what to put in that doesn't cost the earth, and already have too much chocolate in them!
Plus where can i find baskets to put it all in, and that cellophane stuff to wrap it up?
Thank you!!

There are lots of threads on hampers on the Christmas board, so I'll move your thread over there and you should get more replies.

Hi Minxz!
Welcome to the Christmas board.
We have loads of threads all about hampers/baskets and even some photos!
I am sure it will inspire you as it has turned me into a 'Super Christmas shopper!'
You can try making things?
Loads of bargains are suggested here!
Also you can find out where to hunt down your baskets (Tesco, Instore,Wilko!)
Hope this helps you!!!!!! Happy hampering?!Newbie Comper

Hi Minxz, not much to add to the above, but Poundland and the 99p shop have some great things to fill out a hamper.0

I got lidded baskets in TK MAXX for £3.99, a bit pricey but no need for cellophane and not a bad size.0

Can there ever be too much chocolate???
Depends on ages but even simple things like tea & coffee are nice. Noticed last night that Tesco have Taylors coffee on bogof at the mo.0 -
I think most of us on the christmas board have had our cellophane either from a local florist or from ebay. HTH

What about trying your local pound shop for nice stuff for your hampers? Things like nice bubble bath, books, biscuits etc usually go down well. I've made a hamper for a friend who is mad on Italian food and cooking in general. I went to Aldi and Lidl and bought bruschetta topping, italian biscuits, red balsamic vinegar, olive oil, nice pasta, jar of pesto etc all for a fiver.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

Candles - go to Home Bargains where you can get packs of 4 for about 70p, or single ones etc. Then wilkos etc usually do glass candle holders for about 50p a time.
Mug + Hot Choc, Coffee etc.
Tesco are doing a little set with a mini loofah, scrubby pad and one of those 'scrunchie' things for £1, natural/white colours instead of garish plastic so look nice and a cheap 'bulk' filler.
Bargain Madness / B+M are doing fleece blankets for £1.99, or for £4 or so some nice throws.0 -
Try the poundshop/99p shop for baskets - when I bought my last week there were 3 or 4 different types to choose from! I bought my cellophane from ebay - I don't know how much it should cost -and wouldn't have a clue where to get it from other than ask in a florist if they would sell me some - but they wanted a fortune for a metre, so much cheaper to get from ebay!
As for bargains - definately the poundshop/99p shop. I got some nice bits in Wilko - I split up sets between hampers for different people.
For foody hampers we used Aldi/Lidl - and also Ikea has some nice reasonably priced bits and bobs for the home.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
