Mental Help!!

Hi, I have struggled with money ever since I can remember - I have created budgets til I am blue in the face. I simply cannot save or manage my money. Is there any sort of psychological help that I can get - I honestly feel like there is something wrong with me!

I read it more as being a mental condition that affects your ability to control money, rather than depression or anxiety brought about because of debt?

Anyway, read the guide (shameless plug), then go from there. Open some more bank accounts I always find that helps. :D

If you believe you can, you probably can.

If you believe you can't then you probably can't.

Try pretending to believe that you can budget/manage your money/save. You might surprise yourself :D

Hey Yockers, you're not alone. There must be tonnes of people on this site in the same position as you, having all the best intentions, making the budget, knowing how its supposed to go and then the moment the money arrives in your bank it slips through your fingers on carp!

I'm afraid I can't offer any advice you don't already know (if I did I'd be loaded, lol) but just wanted to remind you that you know this stuff and CAN do it. Take it one day at a time, tell yourself you'll spend the money / buy the thing tomorrow if that helps.

The only way to achieve it is to keep trying. The other option is to not bother trying and we all know where that has got us.

All the best to you xx
