Tuesday 8th March - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:T
Gooood morning everyone - how are you all today?:j
Looks like it's going to be another lovely, sunny day here - makes it easier to get up:D
My scan went fine yesterday - I shall get the results tomorrow when I have my appt with the hosp doctor. I did feel awful when I got home though, woozy and with very unsettled insides:( Hopefully ok today though - i have to get back to work!
So - let's have a sparkly, full-of-beans day shall we....hope you lot going to join in! List time:

bottom of the fridge soup - is that a bit like ifit? (if its there we'll have it, if its not we won't?) :rotfl:

MORNING!
Last night I dug out the electricity monitor again, its been stuck in a cupboard!
I swept my kitchen floor, and cleaned the inside of the microwave, my god i'm surprised it hadn't grown its own legs and walked off!
Actually Switched heating OFF after it came on yesterday @ 3.50pm, though did put it back on again at about 6.45pm ish
Dinner yesterday went down a treat! even my son loved it soo much he smothered his hair in mashed potato and carrot!
-Checked online balances (got child benefit today) transfered over £15 to top up for next weeks rent and council tax payment.
-switched kettle off after using it!
Today isn't going to be a NSD as i need to get a few top up bits, mainly fresh fruit, yogurts, bread/rolls all i have is the £7.17 in my purse, so gotta be strict!
Its pancake day today, and i really do have the ingredients! (albeit the lemon juice is from last pancake day, unless i get some fresh lemons)
Asked the other half if he fancies jacket spuds or something on toast tonight, as i'm not doing anything too fussy cos of doing pancakes lol0 -

When my children were small a dinner known as 'ifit' was "if it gets cooked you can have it" as there were days I really didn't want to stand in the tiny kitchen on my own and cook a meal. :rotfl:Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. My mum n nan used to have a saying when asked "whats for dinner?/lunch?" the reply would be - "bread and ifit", "whats that" was normally the reply "IF your lucky you might get a bIT" was the last line. Its amazing how the same little "ifit" word can mean so many things but in a similar context!stitching_witch wrote: »Certainly is! It's all the leftover bits, wobbly carrots, limp celery sticks, bits of brocolli and the left over cooked veg from the Sunday roast. I even chop the brocolli and cauliflower stalks into small cubes and bung them in the freezer so a handful of those go in. When it's all cooked down and blitzed it tastes great.
