Barclaycard - 5000 - 17.9
Virgin ....... - 2000 - 17.9?
Is this correct so far?
You also have 3000 cash and HSBC - 1000 @ 0%?
I would also ask why the cards are maxed out - have you done a budget, are you struggling to make the minimum payments?
With what you have put so far, i would transfer the Virgin balance to HSBC and clear the remainder from the insurance payout. The reduce the balance of the Barclaycard by at least 1500.
I know that Virgin quite often give promotional balance transfer offers to existing customers, so you may be able to take advantage of this later to deal with the Barclaycard debt. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
