Redetermination - Thanks

Just wanted to say thank you for all the help and information on this site.

To cut a long story short, basically i have a debt of 9000 which i was paying back £15.00 per month, the company were not happy with this and wanted it increased i offered £60 pounds per month which they declined and took me to court over (CCJ) i offered the same amount as its what i can afford which was rejected and came back with a payment of £541.00 per month which i asked to have redetermined as it is more than half my monthly salary.

Well it turns out some one could not read my admissions form and mixed a 0 up with a 6 so intead of my salary being just over £1000 per month they thought it was £1600!!!!!!, so the judge set the payments at my original amount. They also asked for a charging order at the same hearing which was denied by the judge. Very please with the result but it was what i had been saying all along and they just didnt listen.

Thank you all for the help :T:j:T:j

    Excellent news. :)

You do hear some daft decisions being made by the courts, so nice to hear that you can get things sorted in a reasonable way.

Just glad it is all sorted now. Apparantly they took things this far beacuse i have gone back on two previous payment plans set up with them which i added was because both times i had been made redundant. But all they focused on was i stopped/lowered payments twice.

I just wished things didnt have to go as far as they have but hopefully with in a few years i will have paid off everything:j
  • Great news - hope it all goes well from now on.
