Question regarding Doorstep coolectors

I have a question, but first a little context.
Both my husband and I got into a lot of debt. We both came out for work in late 2008 (thankfully it didn't take me too long ot find other work, but my OH has been in and out since then).
We let things get into a right old mess and a mixture of that and a lot of stress and depression lead to us wrecking the credit rating and defaulting.
So two years down the line and the council tax is up to date, fuel arrears were paid off in december and we are chipping away at the mortgage arrears and paying interest only in the interim.
I have been so thankful to find this site as we have got nearly all the calls stopped nad most of the debts are on DMP.

Before I found this site and whilst I was ill and scared I entered into agreements with a doorstep collector to whom Ipay cash every 4 weeks. This works for me and the debts are going down (one will be gone soon)

However on saturday the collector sent a new debt card ot my OH, with a reminder card for my accoutns in it.
We are currently disputing the debt for my OH with the orignal creidotr but Moorcorft are insistent on pursuing and I think that becuase I pay with the doorstep and we sent them the stop call letter for OH they have sent the debt to her. We have tried to start a repayment plan for this debt for the last 20 months and been rejected at every turn.

I don't want to be funny with the collector, we get on well and I am happy to keep on with mine (it works out well as I don't forget nad therefore have never defaulted) but I am reluctant for us to pay this new account for OH. He will pay the debt back at a rate he can but it is jsut the back handed way that Moorcroft nad Snatander are going about it that has got me riled.
What should we do?

What has happened with the dispute so far? Under OFT debt collection guidance moorcroft should not be pursuing a debt which is in dispute, so have you sent copies of the letters to moorcroft?

we have tried several offers of payment plan to santander and moorcorft but have been knocked back so am now trying to get the debt back to the original amount. Moorcroft have ignored the letters. we are just discussing payments and what to say to the collector, we don't want to get her into trouble

Report all concerned to the OFT, Trading Standards, and the Financial Ombudsman Service - for pursuing a disputed debt.
