Hi,
wondering i anyone could put me straight i owe
Barclays 1) £209.36
Barclays 2) £1,900.00
Provident ) £336.00
I have been paying installments on these for about 4 years now and cant afford to just pay them off ,the payments are a pain in the finances.
I have had letters off the barclays ones before where they have said they would offer me a considerable discount if i could settle with them.
I was talking this over with a family member, who has said I could have a thousand pounds to pay them off, but only if they agree to all split it between them in full settlement otherwise its not worth giving me the money as the installments will still be on my back for a few years.
I have found a template for an offer of full payment to creditors off a site linked from here,CAG,but it doesnt cover the bit about the relative making me the offer on condition.
So anyone, any idea what to write and how to divide the money in the offer plz help. This would be a real opportunity that i cant afford to miss.

Personally I would phone them and just ask them if they would accept a reduced full and final offer?
If they say yes and give you a figure ask them to confirm it in writing.
I'm not sure £1,000 would cover them all but they can only say no!
