Speed Radar Laser

hi all
after some advice, i want to get one of those radar to detect speed cameras. obviously this is just to ensure i keep up with the local speed regulations.......
i heard about snooper and road angel, but are they are advice web sites?
tried to find a thread here as this must have been discussed but i think i is too thick!!

There are a few different detectors around. Most will be illegal in a few months. I think the ones that tell you the positions of fixed Gatso's are ok though.
The illegal ones block the laser.

I use a PDA with TomTom + GPS cameras and a Cheetah speed camera/ laser detector. Or Road Angel is very good.

I've got a Snooper it works for most fixed cameras by detecting Infra red, it doesn't block any signals.
