CCJ and late payment charges.

I have a ccj for a car I purchased through finance. Towards the end of the agreement I missed a couple of payments which has resulted in a default and a CCJ on my credit file. I have the report of all the payments and the amount that was deemed to be outstanding which is different to the amount on the CCJ which I have confirmed by speaking to the solictor who hold the details of the case.

Now my questions are;

I think I have paid all the payments but I now have a CCJ that is related to charges for admin and migrated charges? Is this allowed as a reason for a CC?

The charges for missed payments that were subsequently paid are £25 per transaction in addition to some small migrated charges and £150 for an admin charge for a letter, resulting £600+ of charges. Can I request a refund of these charges in a similar way to the bank charges refund?

Ideally I am looking to get the CCJ and default removed, can anyone advise me on the right approach to take please?

  • Good afternoon,

    found some letter templates on a web site that The Realson mentioned in his thread. Still struggling to get info on excessive charges and if unpaid can they issue ccj.

    thanks

    Did they apply this to the CCJ when they got the CCJ in court, what do your papers say that you have say say about total to pay.

    Ig CCJ says that you owe £1000 you owe £1000, it is up to court on what was issued on the CCJ that will tell you.
    I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
    Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

  • I have not got a copy of the ccj and I cannot get the igures to add up. As I said previously I believe that the outstanding amount is made of charges only.

    Thanks for your reply king100 I appreciate all advice.
  • Have I asked my question in the right way?
