I've just noticed that a small area of the enamel coating has corroded away from the inside of our microwave so we can no longer use it as the metal beneath is exposed. Does anyone know if anyone repairs microwaves or is it a case of buy a new one?

            Is it sparking?
If not, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

You can use it. My old one corroded where the turntable wheels wore the enamel off. As Withabix says, if it's not sparking, it's ok0

Fingers crossed then! I hope it's OK as I suspect it would cost more to be repaired than buying a new one.Resolution:

No, it's not sparking at all. I only noticed it whilst cleaning the inside yesterday. My husband doesn't think it's safe to use as the metal is exposed but as it's not sparking, is this not the case?
I could really do with not having to buy a new one right now as we've had to replace several things lately but don't want to endanger ourselves!2013: Interflora Vouchers, Christmas Decorations, NNUK goody bag, thermos flask, macwet gloves0
