100% Mortgage for Police

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering does anyone know of any 100% mortgages available for Police officers?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Regards

Can't see why the police would have different mortgages to anyone else, so you'd need to save up a deposit.

I hope not, 100% mortgages in a falling market is suicidal. Northern Rock have launched a 90% deal where your job might help, but you will likely be in negative equity within a year.

As a police officer you shouldn't even consider buying in the next 3 months till the pay review is carried out and implemented. Pay cuts, over time going, higher pension contributions, loss of free travel and end to SPP. The government want to cut police wages so the future is very uncertain.

If Joe Public can't get 100% mortgages whats so speshul about Police officers that makes them any more financially viable then the rest of us?

Don't be so lazy and "want it now" save up like the rest of us have too, its called grafting..

Maybe not, but that doesn't mean they are speshul. How are the Govenerment going to get rid of a few thousand of them in the budget cuts? ask them nicely to leave? or just natural wastage?.I wager they can get rid of all the long term sickies.....

wastage I expect. I wasn't defending them getting any special treatment by the way - just stating a fact that makes their working situation a bit different to most of us.
