It is where it is cheaper to shop you need to look at and collecting point is only secondary concern... That is the way of saving money.
Basically I have both and buy what ever is on offer in both and use my card. Also have cashback Quidco account for internet shopping and if the shop is not listed on Quidco chances are it will be listen on Nectar.com or Airmiles.
Yes of course you can use your credit card instead of debit card - as long as the shop accepts it why not? I buy everything on either my M&S card or Tesco card to collect points and then pay the cards off at the end of the month.
I don't pay bills with credit card though, most companies give discount for DD and is hassle free so I never saw a point in that.0 -

I also find that because I don't use any one supermarket for a big weekly shop they both send me good money off vouchers for small amount spends. I know several people who always use either Sainsburys or Tesco every week and never get such good vouchers. The supermarkets seem to send best vouchers to entice customers who don't regularly shop with them.

*NECTAR TIP*
When you use the self service check out and swipe your nectar you get a voucher printed out for double/triple points on your next visit. Just make that visit your next visit.... get your trolley full of shopping then pop over quickly to the self service checkout with a few items(pint milk and loaf or bread) swipe your nectar and pay for those items. Then take your receipt and voucher. When you go to pay for the rest of your trolley at the checkout you have a lovely double/triple point voucher to use too.0 -
I don't spend much money but I use my Tesco credit card whenever I can. I recently bought a car, (saved up cash first) and put £1,000 on the card, along with the insurance of £400, then paid it when the statement came. Can't comment on the other cards.
