Normally they plug into a usb 2 (not 1.1 with older pcs) connect usb device to aerial either small aerial which sometines comes with it or connect to normal aerial. Install supplied software and set it up to scan for channels. You can use it as a cheap personnel video recorder PVR to record off review.0

plug the device (with the given antenna) into a free usb port of your computer/laptop. Install the software and and scan for the freeview channels. Voila! you r done!
Just a note: when the tv is running, it consumes around 40% of my cpu usage..!! My laptop in question is a P-M 1.3GHz with 1GB RAM.0 -
