SIPP/IVPP - What counts as income?

Options
Hi

Does Property Rental Income count as Income in relation to how much can be invested in the above?

If it does, would that be the gross rental or the net taxable amount e.g after deducting mortgage interest.

Many Thanks

Alan

earned income is what matters. Not investment income.

    Thanks for the swift reply.

So just to be sure I have it right that means that if my only income is rental income then I am restricted to the amount I can invest in these?

    Cheers, Alan

Yes, you can only put in £3600 gross a year (£2880 net).
