Sewing machine help

I got a second hand machine cheap because it was seized.
Took it home hovered everywhere, then oiled it, then used scrap fabric to make sure there was no oil around.
Worked a treat after that.0 -
Is there a way to sew a few stitches with the bobbin door open?
Then you could see if it is sending the thread down and round the bobbin to make the loop.I reckon taking out the bobbin case and its housing and cleaning and replacing would solve it .0 -
