My very helpful local store performed a countrywide search for me & then phoned a few stores (exceptionally helpful in fact). The stock shown was 6 in total throughout the country each one in individual stores, but none actually available when the store was phoned up - they're stock errors, so save yourself a phone call - closing the thread might be an idea too.

I plumped for the 250gb Lacie porsche designed external drive @ £60 which seemed reasonable.
