Do i have to sign to request a true copy of the consumer credit Arrangement

Hi, this forum has been really helpful with obtaining template letters to send to my creditors.

Last week I sent a request for a true copy of my signed agreement to Capquest who are chasing me on behalf of HFC Bank for £899.80.

They sent me a letter back this morning via recorded delivery (along with the £1 postal order) saying "our client requests your letter to be signed before they will action your request for documentation"

Is this true? do I have to sign it? no problems if I do, but if i don't then what letter do i send them back?

Do they have any reason to doubt that you are who you say you are?
