Hi
After spending a couple of days virtually living on this site, I thought I would post my own challenge to make me a little more accountable!
Currently, my mortgage stands at £146,000. We have made £65,000 of overpayments in the last week to get to this figure
Currently, we have 19.5 years left to run on the mortgage and we plan to make a few more substantial overpayments in the coming few months.
In short, hoping to get the mortgage down to £85,000 by the end of 2011 and then start making monthly OP's to finally be MF by the end of 2020. It feels a long way off!!
Love reading all the tips on here!

Welcome Claire Blimey, well done for the huuuuggge OP!!!! I am addicted to the daily thread - its very inspirational as you don't realise just how MFW you are until you think about it - and like you, I have picked up so many tips! :T0

Well done with progress so far, noticed you read my thread so thought I would jump over to yours and see what your targets were. Wish I could make the same size overpayment you have and plan too!! But the end target date is similar to mine as you said. Not sure if I will succeed though bearing in mind the size of your overpayments to mine.0

You'll be going great guns going from 211k to 146k - How motivating is it to see your mortgage go down by a huge amount!
Mortgage down to 85k = 61k = 6.7k a month for the next 9 months. Are they the right figures? Unless I've mis-read your post, you could be mortgage clear in a few years if you keep up this amazing rate of overpaying
