Old Rocking Chair

Evening Everyone - Yay its Friday, bring on the weekend

I have a lovely rocking chair which has been left in the garden for about 12 months. Its been snowed on, rained on and sunshined on. Would painting it with outside paint revive it or would I just be waisting my time?

I guess it depends on how much it has rotted. Is it still "solid"?
If you have some varnish in the garage/shed already its certainly worth it and wont be a costly experiment.

it seems very obvious but make sure it is dried thoroughly before you do anything to it or the paint/varnish won't do anything. I'd give it a good couple of weeks indoors drying out before trying it, it's surprising how long it takes.
