How much an hour? Temp Job

I am a trained secretary but have been a stay at home mum for nearly three years. I have been offered a temporary job at a company I used to work for but they have asked what hourly rate I would be looking for!
When I last worked I was earning in excess of £9.00 an hour (different company) but think this may be too much to ask for. Would you think £7.50/£8.00 would be too much? Not sure how much they would have to pay an agency temp. I'm in Birmingham if this makes a difference.
Thanks for reading.

My PA is on about £13 an hour as a fully qualified secretary but her salary isnt that much less than a PA to an exec member in our company. Most our PAs are on about £9-10 but as this is outer london you can probably knock a few pence an hour off.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

There should be some job agency websites that you could have a look at to see how much they offer.
You don't want to say too low a figure and see them rub their hands with glee!
I work in London and it's as a legal secretary and I'm salaried, but think it works out just under £15 an hour. Not sure about any other cities though, sorry.
But if you were on £9 before, why shouldn't you be on that again? See what they say to it. They've already asked if you'll do the job. You can always lower the figure if their jaws drop, but I don't think that will happen.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
